Notely: Notes & Planner — Privacy Policy

Notely ("the app") is developed by VoxelNova. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.


1. Your notes stay with you

Notes, checklists, photos, categories, reminders and calendar tasks are stored on your device. We (the developer) do not run servers and never receive, read or sell your notes.


2. Optional sync with your Google Drive (Notely Pro)

If you turn on sync and sign in with Google, the app stores a copy of your notes, photos and settings in a private app folder in your own Google Drive. Only Notely can access this folder; we do not have access to it. The app requests only two permissions: access to its own app folder in Drive and your email address, which is shown in the app so you know which account is used. You can turn sync off at any time in the app. To delete the synced copy, open Google Drive on the web → Settings → Manage apps → Notely → Delete hidden app data. 3. Advertising

The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address (to estimate approximate location), app interactions and diagnostic information to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalized ads are shown; you can change your choice in Menu → Privacy settings. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. Notely Pro removes ads. More information: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads


4. Purchases

The Notely Pro purchase is processed by Google Play. We do not receive your payment details.


5. Backups

Backup files are created only when you choose to and are saved where you choose. They are not sent to us.


6. Permissions

Notifications and Alarms & reminders: to show reminders at the time you set. Internet: for ads and optional sync. Photos are picked with the system photo picker; the app does not get access to your whole gallery.


7. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.


8. Security

Data sent to Google Drive and AdMob is encrypted in transit (TLS). Locked notes require your unlock pattern; the pattern itself is stored only as a salted hash.


9. Your choices and deletion

You can delete any note, empty the trash, turn off sync and delete the app's data from your device and from Google Drive at any time.


10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version.
